My instructions are for ESX "i", so they were probably of no help. Repeat for any additional folders.ĮDIT: I just noticed you said you are using ESX. Finally give a datastore name and you should now be able to access this shared folder. Click on "Add Storage" choose "Network File System" enter the hostname or IP of your ix4 and in the "Folder" field enter "/nfs/ISOs" (without the quotes and with the name of the folder you want to access). Access your ESXi host using the vClient and click the "Configuration" tab and then "Storage".
I guess you've create some shared storage, let's say you have a folder called "ISOs". Did you also enable "Allow Root Account Access"? Next on your ix4 you said you enbled NFS under "Network Services". Have you made sure that you have the latest firmware on you ix4? I just finished setting up my new Iomega StorCenter ix2, so maybe I can help you out! I want to access an NFS share (storing Virtual Machines) on this NAS Iomega StorCenter Pro NAS iX4-100. I have VMware ESX installed on a HP Proliant ML110 G5.
